Baby Essentials (From Newborn-Toddler)
- Baby Carrier: I used this daily when both my kids were newborns. It was a lifesaver. This carrier allowed me to cook, clean, eat, and move freely while keeping my kids close and calm.
- Swaddles: Swaddles and sleep sacks are must-haves! Not only do they keep your little darling comfy cozy, but they make going through sleep regressions easier.
- Sound Machine: Both my kids have been using their sound machines for I don’t even know how long. It has made bedtime and quiet time so much smoother. I honestly do not know what I would do without our sound machines.
- Parenting Books: ‘Good Inside‘ and ‘Raising Mentally Strong Kids‘ are my favorite parenting books. Even though I am a former teacher, I still gained so much insight into how to cater to kids needs. These books helped me reduce meltdowns, brought me a deeper understanding of child development, and gave me new tools that actually worked. You have to read these!
Feeding & Kitchen Staples
- Baby Food Jars: Perfect for storing homemade purees and leftovers, too. I have been using these for years, and they are honestly great for any stage. Prep a snack or meal ahead of time and quickly serve your little one when they are feeling hangry.
- Food Processor: If you plan on making your own baby food, you need this. It will save you money while making blending a breeze.
- Kids Plate + Utensils: These plates aren’t just adorable. They earn bonus points for including suction to put an end to the dramatic plate tosses.
- Silicone Food Storage Bags: Here’s to one less thing you have to keep buying! Reusable, durable, and super helpful!
Home Organization Made Simple
- Montessori Toy Shelf: My favorite way to encourage independence! Rotate 10-15 toys every few weeks, and your kids won’t get bored. This shelf is easy for the littlest hands to reach and see their toy options.
- Baskets for Toy Storage: A simple way to contain the chaos. I bought a few sets for both of my kids. They hold up great through the years, look nice, and keep our home feeling calm.
- Laundry Baskets: It is wild how tiny humans can make such ginormous mountains of laundry. I am pretty sure we have 5 of these at this point!
- Pantry Solutions: Because the snack section seems to get bigger and bigger! Organized shelves are a must.
- Drawer Organizers: I swear drawers inevitably become a disaster zone without drawer organizers.
Take Care of Yourself Mama
- Gentle Skincare: Don’t skip this one! Keep your skincare routine simple, and it will become something you look forward to. This set had me hooked from day 1. It helped reduce my fine lines while also making my skin glow.
- Comfy Loungewear: You will absolutely want something soft, breathable, and cute during your new mom era. Trust me– when you feel comfortable, it is going to be a good day.
